Welcome to Spring

By Tim Hassell

For the first time in over 10 years, we are seeing an increase in rents, and it couldn't come soon enough for many of our clients. Few markets witness a stagnation of growth and increase in costs that we have seen. As agents and landlords, we understand that this increase combined with extra compliance measures were driving more landlords toward the door, mostly out of frustration.

But now, the lower number of new landlords and the slow exit of marginal few over the last few years, combined with a huge number of people renting all at once was the perfect storm sorely needed to re-balance our market. we hope that over time, the market commentators will understand just how important this period has been for the London landlord base. We remain committed to getting the best price possible for you, our valued clients.

We hope that you enjoy this edition of The Draker Standard.
